Using the Helpful Databases Page

The Helpful Databases page offers you a choice of indexes:

Education Abstracts (use this for finding articles about education. Not as comprehensive as ERIC, but easier to use. You can access ERIC through the Research Databases screen.)

Biological and Agricultural Index (not as comprehensive as BIOSIS, which is available through the Research Databases screen, but still very useful.)

More Full Text Sources of Magazine and Newspaper Articles

SIRS for articles on social issues. Connect to SIRS form "My Express Links" on the OhioLINK Home page. Search full text or by subject heading or use the Topic Browse feature if you're looking for a topic to research.

LEXIS-NEXIS is really 18 separate databases, almost all full text. The handout stand in the library has a separate handout for Lexis.

BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY and CONTEMPORARY WOMAN'S ISSUES are both mostly full text. Find them from the My Express Links" on the OhioLINK home page.

The OhioLINK ELECTRONIC JOURNALS CENTER is available from the OhioLINK home page. It's an award-winning, searchable OhioLINK service that contains full text scholarly journals going back to 1995.
