Library Fines Policy

There is currently no overdue fine for late Clark State books except reserve books and materials.

Reserve materials and OhioLINK books are fined at $.50 per day overdue. The maximum fine per item is $15.00. Books are rarely recalled, but if they are, there is a $2.00 per day charge if they are not returned promptly.

If a Clark State item is lost, the fee is the replacement cost plus a $10.00 processing fee. If the item is out of print or cannot be replaced the fee is $75.00 plus the $10.00 processing fee.

A lost book replacement charge of $75.00 will be billed to the OhioLINK patron who does not return an OhioLINK loan 30 days after the due date. A $50.00 processing fee will also be included on these lost item invoices. Only the replacement fee is canceled when the item is returned.

All financial obligations to the Library must be met by the last day of the academic quarter. Failure to meet these requirements will result in suspended Library privileges, holds on transcripts, diplomas, and registration. Overdue OhioLINK materials will result in immediate suspension of all Library privileges.
