Requests for Book & Video Purchases

Faculty members at Clark State may suggest books, videos, and other materials for purchase. Contact Melissa Hunter at 328-6021 or hunterm@clarkstate.edu and include the author, title, publisher, publication date, and ISBN number for any requested items. Please refer to the Collection Development Policy for further information.

Library Instruction

Any instructor may request library instruction for her/his class(es). Students learn library skills best when working on a specific assignment for class. Please contact Mary Beth Aust-Keefer at 328-6023 or send an e-mail to austkeeferm@clarkstate.edu. Be sure to include a phone number where you can be reached. Please try to book library instruction ten days to 2 weeks in advance.

Videos for classroom use

Videos in our collection:
You can search the Clark State library catalog or our online video catalog for the title (or subject or keyword) you're looking for. In our catalog, your can limit your search to "audiovisuals." You can request videos by filling out the online request form, by sending an e-mail request to wearlyj@clarkstate.edu, or by calling the library at 328-6022. Please be sure to include the full title, the LC Call number, and the dates you wish to show it in class.

Videos owned by other OhioLINK schools:
You may borrow from other OhioLINK libraries yourself, provided they are listed as "available" in the OhioLINK Central Catalog.

The library staff can book videos owned by SOCHE libraries. Call Jason Wearly at 328-6022. It is best to allow about 3 weeks for video bookings. This gives you the best chance of getting what you need. Materials from SOCHE schools may be booked even if they are restricted to local circulation or library use only.
