Requests for Book & Video Purchases

As a faculty member at Clark State, you may suggest books, videos, and other materials for purchase. Contact Melissa Hunter at 328-6021 or hunterm@clarkstate.edu and include the author, title, publisher, publication date, and ISBN number for any requested items. Please refer to the Collection Development Policy for further information.

Library Instruction

You may request library instruction for your classes. Please contact Mary Beth Aust-Keefer at 328-6023 or send an e-mail to austkeeferm@clarkstate.edu. Be sure to include a phone number where you can be reached.

Library instruction works best when the students have a specific assignment. Please try to book library instruction ten days to 2 weeks in advance. This gives us time to develop a presentation and handouts.

You can use Campus Cruiser to see if the time your had in mind is available: select Campus Calendar > Choose a Calendar > Library Schedule.

Videos for classroom use

Videos in our collection:
You can search the Clark State library catalog or our online video catalog for the title (or subject or keyword) you're looking for. In our catalog, your can limit your search to "audiovisuals." In our video catalog, you can enter any of the above. It's often best to try both catalogs. You can book videos that we own by filling out the online request form, by sending an e-mail request to wilsonc@clarkstate.edu, or by calling Catherine Wilson at 328-6022. Please be sure to include the full title, the LC Call number, and the dates you wish to show it in class.

Videos owned by other OhioLINK schools:
You may borrow from other OhioLINK libraries yourself, provided they are listed as "available" in the OhioLINK Central Catalog. They may not be booked unless they are owned by a SOCHE institution.

Our library staff can book videos owned by SOCHE libraries. Call Catherine Wilson at 328-6022. It is best to allow about 3 weeks for video bookings. This gives you the best chance of getting what you need. Materials from SOCHE schools may be book even if they are restricted to local circulation or library use only.
