Borrowing Materials
Items may be borrowed and/or requested with a current, validated Clark State ID and barcode. Books check out for 21 days. Video items check outfor seven days. Items may be renewed once if there are no requests by other users. Students may have ten items checked out at one time. Most reserve items are limited to use in the Library.

Courtesy cards are available to community residents through application at the information desk. Courtesy card users are subject to all policies and regulations of the Library. Courtesy card holders may have five books checked out at one time.

Periodicals are for use in the Library. Persons making photocopies are subject to the copyright law. The cost of photocopies is $.15 per page.

Overdue Material: All borrowers

  • Overdue OhioLINK items are $0.50 per day. There is a $50.00 fine for items more than 30 days overdue.
  • Recalled materials are $2.00 per day.
  • Lost materials must be paid for at the replacement cost, or $75.00 if the item cannot be replaced, plus a $10.00 processing fee.
  • OhioLINK books must be paid for at a minimum of $75.00 plus a $50.00 processing fee.

All financial obligations to the Library must be met by the last day of the academic quarter. Failure to meet these requirements will result in suspended library privileges, holds on diplomas, transcripts, and registration. Overdue OhioLINK materials will result in immediate suspension of all library privileges.

Additional Resources
Patrons may use Online Borrowing through OhioLINK to supplement Clark State's materials. Clark State Students may also use the libraries of any other OhioLINK institutions. A validated student or staff ID is necessary for borrowing from these libraries. Borrowers will be subject to the policies of the loaning library.
