How to Find Magazine or Journal Articles

We subscribe to many databases (searchable collections) that contain citations, full text articles, books, and multimedia. From our home page, click on OhioLINK.

Using OhioLINK to find articles
Use the Help and Hints link if you need help getting started. There is great information here!

If you know the name of the database you want, like Academic Search Premier or Electronic Journal Center:

  • Click on Explore OhioLINK Databases > By Name
  • Choose the name of the database you want from the alphabetical list.

If you know the subject area that you want:

  • Click on Explore OhioLINK Databases > By Subject
  • Choose a subject from the list. A list of databases for that subject area are listed.

If you want full text resources, or only multimedia or books, for example:

  • Click on Explore OhioLINK Databases > By Type
  • Choose full text, or books, or multimedia--whatever you need!

The Quick Search Screen has four radio buttons, allowing you to choose which way you want to do a very quick search. These searches should probably be one- and two-word searches.
